PRESIDENT & FOUNDER

Jim Broshat

What do you want for your birthday?

I want the whole family over for dinner (BBQ ribs) and backyard games. That is the best present.

What is Wrap-It Storage's origin story?

I grew up waterskiing and used a strap to keep our waterski ropes from getting tangled. I always wondered why there were not better solutions to keeping all the cords, ropes, and hoses organized. I finally got the courage later in life (2013) to quit my job and start a company from scratch.

What was it like growing up with five sisters and a brother?

Super FUN! I have so many happy memories of growing up in a big family. Camp Singing Hills vacations in the summer, ice skating rinks in the back yard in the winter. The family has grown to 57 total with spouses and grandchildren which makes family weddings a great time to get together. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at my nephew (and Wrap-It team member) Mike’s wedding this summer in Connecticut.

What is your favorite Wrap-It Storage product?

This is a little like asking who my favorite child is. They are all my favorites for different reasons. The Heavy-Duty Storage Straps are the ones I use the most. Cable Labels are great for keeping track of my cords plugged into my TV and computer. The Self-Gripping Perforated Roll is the “Jack of all trades” solution for many tangled messes.

What is your proudest "Dad Moment"?

The work my three boys have done with Young Life (YL) Capernaum over the years. YL Capernaum gives teens and young adults with disabilities the chance to experience fun and adventure, to develop fulfilling friendships, and to challenge their limits while building self-esteem through club, camp, and other exciting activities. YL introduces them to Jesus Christ and helps them grow in their faith.

What's it like working with your three kids?

I am lucky to have three great sons who are uniquely different. I am constantly amazed at how gifted they are in different ways. I learn more from them than they do from me these days.

If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?

Riding my bikes more (road, gravel and mountain), playing pickleball, and learning to play golf again.

SALES, CREATIVE & OFFICE DJ

Andrew Broshat

What is your favorite Wrap-It Storage product?

Such a difficult question to answer. Jim picked Heavy-Duty, so I don't want to go with that one. Silicone bands are not my favorite, but I want to give those underrated little bands a shoutout! I'll go with MagSnap—it's fun and functional, plus the marketing for the product is some of my favorite!

What's the messiest room in your house?

Well, we just moved so the garage is essentially a very unorganized storage unit right now. But I do have the extension cords and lawn tools hung up with our Heavy-Duty straps!

If you could only eat one breakfast for the rest of your life, what would it be? (Nutritional value still counts)

Easy. Oatmeal with Greek yogurt, berries, and peanut butter. It's what I eat every day already.

Have you ever not been able to tell your identical twin brothers apart?

Not from what I can remember. Although I always wanted them to switch spots in school growing up to prank their teachers.

Fill in the blank: I absolutley cannot live without _____:

Besides my wife, Monica, and our kids, coffee and exercise... and spellcheck because apparently exercise is a difficult word for me to spell.

Do you hope to get to follow in your dad's footsteps and hire your kids someday?

I would LOVE to work with my kids someday! I'm already successfully convincing my son, Ryker, that he wants to work with me when he grows up. I think I'm getting there with my daughter, Emmaline, too; she now points out Wrap-It products when she sees them in stores!

FINANCE DIRECTOR & JACK-OF-ALL-TRADES

Michael Broshat

What do you do here at Wrap-It Storage?

I wear many hats, like most employees at a small business. I primarily handle the company’s finances but also manage Human Resources, IT, Retailer Compliance, and Customer Service. If you call into the Wrap-It Hotline (I dare you to), you’ll be greeted by me!

What's your favorite Wrap-It Storage product?

My favorite product to use is the Universal Trunk Strap. My Prius and the Trunk Strap have moved a countless number of Facebook Marketplace purchases.

What's the messiest room in your house?

The messiest room is our kitchen. We have a 16-month-old daughter who loves to play with her food. Her smoothies regularly become a Super Soaker Water Toy™.

What's the biggest downside to being an identical twin?

Back in the day, everything used to be a competition. Luckily, that isn't the case anymore.

What's the biggest upside to being an identical twin?

Cheesy answer, but always having a best friend.

If you're forced to sing karaoke, what song are you picking?

Definitely a Nickelback song. Although karaoke is one of my
least favorite activities, so you won’t be seeing me at your local karaoke bar anytime soon.

If you had to live somewhere aside from Minnesota for a year, where would you choose?

It would be fun to more back to Taiwan for a year. I lived in Taipei for a year doing a semester abroad and teaching English as a second language.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Heather Rohm

What do you do here at Wrap-It Storage?

Graphic Design! I specialize in packaging, displays, signage, and product mockup magic.

What's your favorite Wrap-It Storage product?

The Self-Gripping Perforated Roll...it’s just useful everywhere. I use it both inside and outside the house: in my garden, in my yard, and for wrangling my toothbrush charging cord.

What's the messiest room in your house?

Basement Storage Closet – I try to keep it organized, but it gets out of control, so I just close the door!

You were the first non-family member to join the team. What was your first experience like?

It was an instant bond: a shared love of frugality. By my first week, I already felt like part of the family! When another tenant moved out, they left behind heaps of stuff near the dumpster. True to form, Michael exclaimed, “Come on, let’s go treasure hunting!” So, “The Boys” and I dove into the bins and unearthed a trove of random goodies. From canopy tents to paper towels, we found all sorts of useful items to keep, sell, and donate. I think we’re still using some of those paper napkins today!

If you had to invite two famous people from throughout history to a dinner party at your house, who would they be?

Hmmm, I don’t have a good answer for this. Too much pressure.

Fill in the blank: I’m at my happiest when I’m ____.

With family and friends, on the water, or in the sunshine—it's three times as happy when all of these happen at once.

When eating a slice of New York style pizza, do you fold it in half?

Yes, of course, is there any other way?! Bonus if you top it with Tajin.

E-COMMERCE MANAGER

Mike Kamins

What do you do here at Wrap-It Storage?

My self-appointed job title here is E-Commerce Manager, which means I spend my time trying to grow our online business. I also accidentally became the company copywriter a few years ago, so I’m usually the one on the Q side of these Q&A’s.

What's your favorite Wrap-It Storage product?

Selfie Straps, and I have two equally important reasons why. First, I think they’re the handiest around-the-house cord organizer we have. Second, I choose to believe that Jim came up with the name completely on his own, having never heard the term “Selfie” before, which always makes me laugh.

What's the messiest room in your house?

It’s my office BY FAR. I work remotely full time, as I live about a thousand miles away from Wrap-It Storage Headquarters in Connecticut, so my home office is where I spend far too much of my time. Ironically, a lot of the mess comes from boxes of Wrap-It Storage products!

If you had a warning label, what would it say?

It would be one of those “Slow: Kids Play Here” road signs without the kids or play part. My football coach in high school called me "Sundial" because I was so slow you could time my 40-yard dash with a sundial.

What’s a piece of underrated technology you think will change the future?

I’m going to ignore the word 'underrated' in this question and say AI. I’m fully on board the hype train, believing it will revolutionize every aspect of our lives. It’s definitely scary to think of what that revolution might look like, but my goal is to AI myself out of my own job in the not-so-distant future.

If you had to choose between Frank's RedHot hot sauce and Nerds Gummy Clusters, which one are you leaving behind?

The cop-out answer I want to use here is, "Can I trade you my wife instead?" But since this Q&A will be going live while I’m on my honeymoon, I should probably steer clear of that one.

I’m leaving the Nerds Gummy Clusters behind. It will be a tearful goodbye, but Frank shares the special penthouse of my heart with my aforementioned wife and our insane dog.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

Sean Kolodziej

What do you do here at Wrap-It Storage?

I handle the operations and supply chain, from product forecasting and freight forwarding to shipping our products to retailers worldwide!

What’s your favorite Wrap-It Storage product?

I’m a big fan of our Twin-Straps! They’re great for using with my pressure washer, smoker, and ice fishing gear.

What's the messiest room in your house?

Our basement storage closet, but I would call it organized chaos.

What percentage of people pronounce your last name correctly on the first try?

Nowadays, most people don’t even try. Thankfully, growing up, my older brother paved the way for teachers to learn how to pronounce it.

What’s your favorite way to unwind on the weekends?

My way of relaxing and unwinding is by doing things oddly enough! Whether that's playing pickleball, going for walks with my family, playing pickleball, doing chores around the house, or once again, playing pickleball.

What’s the strangest gift you’ve ever received?

I used to think being gifted socks was strange until college, now they make a great gift!

Who’s your favorite member of the Broshat family?

I’d like to stay employed so I will plead the fifth.

VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES

Jennifer Schock

What do you do here at Wrap-It Storage?

I work in Sales, managing retail accounts in the grocery, automotive, off-price, and home office channels, plus managing a few key accounts. I also attend about five trade shows a year to spread the word, promote our brand, and connect with customers directly.

What's your favorite Wrap-It Storage product?

Cable Labels are so fun and colorful—and so useful. I find myself using them for many things around my home besides just organizing cables (like my keys). And Cable Clips are incredibly functional—before I started using them, I was picking up my charging cord from behind my nightstand every night when I went to plug it in. Now, it’s right where I need it!

What's the messiest room in your house?

For sure my bedroom! When I am not sure what to do with something or where to store it, it ends up there. It’s the catchall room! I have different piles for different projects. The bottom line is that I need more storage space in my condo…or less projects...

What do you miss the most, or the least, from your days living in the Midwest?

What I miss the least about living in the Midwest is the bitter cold temperatures, especially when it gets below zero degrees.

If you were forced to perform in a talent show, what would your act be?

Singing '80s Rock songs! By far and away, '80s music is the best and has stood the test of time. I am biased, of course, because I grew up in the '80s—but even now, all four of my kids listen to '80s music all the time. It really was a great era for music!

Besides organizing cords with our wide range of amazing products, what's a household chore you don't mind doing?

I don't mind sweeping or vacuuming the floors—there is something very therapeutic about it for me.

If you wake up tomorrow morning and you're suddenly a billionaire, what would be the first thing you buy?

For my oldest and youngest daughters, I would buy them a top-of-the-line 4Runner; my middle daughter would get an Infiniti FX35, and my son would get a sports car—probably a Corvette. Mama would get a Jaguar!

More to come in the future!
